My Pain Is So Significant

FACT: It is one of life’s simplest pleasures to encounter the human, live-action version of an animated character.  By way of example, I will explain that this one time I  met a girl who literally WAS Velma from Scooby Doo.

She wasn’t wearing a turtleneck, but it didn’t even matter. She had the same hair, the same skin tone, hell, even the same neck length as the decidedly still-chaste Velma, windowless-van passenger, solver of mysteries. It was a great day. 

Today was a similar such day. This afternoon, on a Queens-bound G train, I had the happy fortune to spy another cartoon-cum-yooman.
